Cams and other goodies

So I am new to the Z motor and I was wondering if anyone has put in aftermarket cams with a cold air intake and a exhaust upgrade and if so can you give any details on what type of cams, exhaust ect that you used and the results, I am curious because I'm not sure I want to do a tt set up and I am an old school guy and If you wanted cheap power, cams, high rise manifolds (like I said old school) and bore and stroke ect were the easy way to add power.

Forget about cams, these things are nearly useless for this motor due to vvel, unless ur throwing wider valves.
And making ur throttle valves larger, all together near 3k w/o labor.

In my opinion, get nismo cold air intakes that come with bypass valve, straight pipes, 2.75+ in exhaust, 4.08 final drive, and a tune, ull be golden.

Oops almost forgot the oil cooler, I actually put one together at summit racing for $275
