Anyone bleed the clutch hydraulics?
I'm a little over 6k miles, and it feels like the clutch pedal actuation sunk over an inch of pedal travel. It feels like I've been scratching gears more often than not, and the engagement isn't as smooth either.
Has anyone done this, and did it restore pedal feel to when the car was new?

After a few trips to my dealer, I now equate them with a bunch of clowns. A trip to the dealer for me will entail leaving my car, driving a loaner, likely having them take it for some joy rides, and finally getting it back in the exact same state as when I dropped it off with them saying "we can't find anything wrong". I have a service manual and I'm happy to swap my clutch fluid and adjust the travel on my own since it's kinda fun to accomplish in my spare time.

I haven't been there for any clutch issues. I went a couple times, one of them being for the stuck hatch problem. The hassle they gave me just to look at a friggin spring for the hatch has put a sour taste in my mouth. I'd never take it to them for something like the clutch 'feel'. Hell, the last two times I was there one tech or another claimed he couldn't pull the car around because he didn't know how to drive a manual transmission. I've pretty much relegated myself to doing all my car maintenance and using the dealer for 'big' warranty issues only.

You can change the clutch fluid but it isn't likely to make a difference on a 6000 mile car. You do get a fair bit of brake in wear on these clutches so your best bet it attempting to adjust the travel or get used to the higher take up.

I had a similar experience about a month ago on an unusually cold morning here in AL. Was running late and didnt warm the car up because i didnt realize it was going to be cold out. (by cold i mean 40F) Kind of got on it for a bit coming out of a merging turn and the pedal stuck on the floor for about a second when i shifted. I revved high and looked like a dickhead, and then it popped back out. I havent had the problem any other time but I usually warm the car up when it is cold for a few minutes or at least let it sit when its warm until the initial RPM spike comes down during warm starting. So Im thinking the viscosity theory could be true, unless maybe there is some sort of catch that occured in the linkage or something like that.

Haha clutch fluid and cold weather will cause the pedal to get sticky. I just get annoyed by the 1-2" play feeling pressing down the clutch pedal. My 350Z was like that and I started scratching gears (particularly 2nd) more often because of it. Once in awhile on a cold start I'd have issues getting in 1st or Reverse.
