'13 370z - Does The Spec Twin Disc Work?

Hey guys,

I had a quick question. I'm looking to upgrade the clutch on a Nismo 2013 TT 370z, I'm curious if the following combination will work or if anyone else has experience with it?

I'm currently looking at the Z Speed heavy duty CSC (Is the sleeve mentioned in the product listing for OS Giken twin disc also needed for the Spec twin disc setup, I assume no?) Although, I did see it's not recommended with the Spec clutches - is there an alternative?

ZSpeed Performance Replacment HD Clutch CSC Heavy Duty Slave Cylinder Kit

And also the following spec twin disc clutch in SS trim:

Spec Super Twin Clutch Kits 09+ 370Z

My main question is, with the spec twin disc, I'm seeing a lot of conflicting information with what model year Z's it's for, many places say 09+, while many others only say 09 - 12. From my understanding it should work on any year as all the 370z's share the same vq37vhr motor?

Can someone correct me here if I'm missing something.

The best thing for you to do is call Joe @ Zspeed. He'll know all of this. Then report back so that the rest of us will know =)

Do not, I repeat, do not purchase a spec clutch. Buy literally any other brand. Save yourself the headache. It is not a good deal at any price.

I've been searching around the forum and have been seeing that all over the place. I suppose I'll look into the southbend / zspeed clutches.

If you want a top quality twin plate clutch go for the OS Giken as I did.

I have the Grand Touring (Green) with the "soft" cover and is a great daily driver and great on the track. :driving:

Sorry to thread jack, but how is the engagement when the clutch is cold vs. hot? I am looking at the GT kit for my Z as well at the moment.

I'm running this clutch in my 2013 TT 370z and it works flawlessly

The Spec? How many miles on it? Mine made it 15k miles before it destroyed itself, and grenaded the HD CSC with it. Joe@Zspeed later told me that, while he has seen very, very few HD CSC failures, they all were used with a Spec clutch.
