I'm hoping to get a group buy going as soon as I finish up my install. I have a few people who contacted me already who bought the GTR turbos and are waiting for my adapters. It even looks like the GTR intercooler fits with some modification, so that makes it even cheaper! If one was to get a good deal on the turbos/intercoolers from the GTR (I've seen someone selling that plus all piping for around 1k on the GTR forum) then the cost to boost the Z is under 4k! Now that obviously doesn't include clutch etc and doesn't include the cost to fabricate some of the pipes if you had someone do it for you. Finally received that OEM oil cooler block off plate! It was on backorder from Japan so I think it took almost 2 months from when I ordered it

Interested to see how much power these could make on our motor. Hopefully they make at least 450whp

589 whp and 565 wtq on 92 octane, and 625 whp and 611 wtq on E85 New stock turbo HP record! - Engine - GT-R Life Granted, that guy was "setting a stock turbo record" ... but they certainly seem to flow enough to make good power.

Also keep in mind the compression ratio difference between our engine and the GTR. Our engine should be a little more efficient therefore getting more power out of less boost. I'd say they're good for about 550 whp max on stock compression as they're kinda small turbos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

husam2012, good for you for being so gutsy and taking on this risky endeavour. Personally, I would have gone with one of the three (tried, tested and proven) Fast Intentions Turbo packages.

Thanks! Personally, I can't afford to spend 2/3 the value of my car after the kit, tune, and clutch. Right now including everything clutch and tune i'm just under 6500 but that's because I paid an arm and a leg for the development of the adapters and motor mount bracket. I would of been able to do it under 5k if someone had already came up with a solution for the motor mount bracket and adapters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

GTR turbos, GTR intake manifold, GTR intercooler, we might as well start running alpha parts

Sub'd!!!
Very interested to see the end result... If the exhaust manifold adapters can be made at a decent price it should keep the total price down. I went over to the GT-R forum and saw a set of turbos/manifolds going for $900. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Small update. I'm pretty set with the adapters but just a few minor things.
1st issue: I might need slim head hex bolts m10 1.25, not sure where to buy them from as everybody has the slim m10 1.5 not the 1.25. 2nd issue: the driver side turbo inlet doesn't clear the motor mount stud. I thought about just making it shorter but not sure of that's a good idea. Any suggestions? Also, I got a thermal wrap for the oil lines and coolant lines. Looks pretty good so far but I got about 10 cuts from trying to fit the AN fittings on the coolant hoses.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

maybe readjusting Z1 engine mount height and making longer engine bracket? Looks like 10mm should do it.
