also most of the people buying the faceplate kit for the cd009 are probably adapting it to a 2j or an ls beacuse a cd009 with faceplates is stronger and is still cheaper than a t56 or a getrekt

nope sorry there have been aftermarket cd gearsets for 16 years but no one in the z market spends the money on them you can get faceplates, carbon synchros, you name it. People here are just broke. is the t56 aftermarket larger? yes. Is the quality of parts better? no but its easier to justify buying a built transmission for your 900hp vette than it is paying the same amount for your 600hp z.

You have link for that.

Nisformance does it for the front wheel drive trans, some of them fit. Despite what they tell everyone that calls, it would appear synchrotec actually does private label some stuff because I know those aren't Honda synchros.

Wait, so is there or isn't there a kit for the CD009/JK?

I've been eyeing the ZF 8HP kits; though fairly large weight penalty compared to a manual.
