Yeah I totally understand their point of view. I certainly wouldn't give away the design of any of the adapters i worked so hard on to finish.

Anyways, some good and bad news.

The good news is I have been experimenting with angles and it looks like I figured out the exact angle needed to clear the bolt for the downpipe.

I also scheduled an uprev tune at a performance shop a couple hours away from me. I will probably rent a U-Haul to tow it there or something.

Bad news but not so bad is after removing the fuel pump, I figured out that I had to buy the CJM install kit for the aeromotive pump.

I thought that it wasn't necessary but it is. I will be ordering it tonight so hopefully I'll have it finished asap because it stinks now!

Default GT-R turbos on the VQ37

Just doing a few things while I'm waiting for my fuel pump install kit.

Anybody know what these do? They fell as I adjusted the steering rack.

Finishes installing the fuel pump and it still idles fine.

One thing I just caught is that the low oil pressure light has been on since the first day I started it!

I'm hoping it's the sensor gone bad and not a different problem because It was a perfectly running engine before.

I'm ordering a pressure gauge and installing it instead of the oem sensor.
I'm hoping everything is well before my dyno appt 2 weeks from now.

This might be the last and final post I make on here.

Bad bad news. The oil light that went unnoticed by everyone including myself turned out to be very real and not due to a damaged sensor.

After the initial panic, I opened the turbo feed lines and I found oil in there.

Turbo drain lines? Nothing there but tiny drops.

Turbo inlets? Dust on the driver side

I guess I'm in denial at the moment but the worst case scenario is probably what happened.

No oil pressure due to something magical, followed by the turbos oil starving and the engine grinding itself slowly (it still sounds perfect somehow)

I will drop the pan tomorrow to see if that is the case. I will post back on here if I got lucky by an act of god.

Thanks everyone for your support along this dream project of mine! I couldn't have gotten this far without you guys.I guess I should of listened to the older members on here so I wouldn't be in such a horrible situation.

Opened the downpipes and dropped the pan.. not a single thing blocking the pickup tube and somehow the turbos still feel healthy with no resistance and no shaft play.

Any ideas why there was no oil pressure?

Oil galley gaskets are a common problem.

I dont know at what pressure the oil pressure switch closes. I will see if I can find it in the service manual. Perhaps you only had very low pressure rather than zero pressure. If the engine was only at idle and not being driven, it doesnt take much oil pressure to sustain. How much was the car driven or run with the light on? It sounds like it might be possible that you dodged a bullet. I have seen engines last for years of abuse after brief oil pressure mishaps.

I actually hooked up a mechanical guage (cheap tester) and it didn't move at all which is what worried me.

I doubt it's the gaskets since that's a pre 2012 problem i believe. I also find it weird that the oil filter gets filled as soon as i crank it but the pressure gauge never shows anything. It's almost like the oil never comes back from the filter.

Only thing left to try is to remove the sandwich plate and try it with just the filter attached to the engine. I just have to order the shorter oil filter stud.

Oh man... Hope you find the issue.

A stupid question - your oil pan spacer came with a matching oil pickup spacer/gaskets, yes?

I'm not sold it would be the OEM oil cooler sandwich... since it hasn't changed for this install... Also, I have taken mine off... it is a pretty simple device and seems difficult to clog.

Hope you get to the bottom of this soon, i've got my fingers crossed the motor is still healthy.

Good news! Finally found the problem. Somehow after removing the Mocal sandwich plate and getting the pre '12 stud, it works perfectly. Approx 100psi of oil pressure at idle.

The turbo return line was opened though haha so I have to clean up that mess tonight.

Crossing my fingers that the turbos and motor are still healthy
