2016 Infiniti QX70 AWD

Greetings fellow gear heads.. Yes, I have a 370 (MT) too! I just picked up the new Infiniti QX70 3.7 AWD about a month ago, and I just hit approximately 1200 miles, and I was going to do its first service.

Oil change: Mobil 1 -- 5w-30 (5.2 qts)
Differential Flush (Front & Rear):
K&N drop ins.

My question to you fellow gear heads because there's NOT a lot of information out there on this particular vehicle, ie. youtube, car care kiosk, & the infiniti scene forum.

Does the AWD have front and rear differentials? Im assuming it does, had my car been rear wheel drive, it would only have a rear differential.

According to print out from Oreillys:
Front: .069 qts. GL-5, 80w-90
Rear: 1.48 qts. GL-5, 80w-90

**It says to use Genuine Nissan Differential Oil Hypoid Super GL-5 80w-90 or equivalent.

What would you guys recommend as far as an equivalent? Any insight from you guys would be awesome.

Sorry if these questions come off as newby-ish.. its my first automatic transmission and SUV.

Yeah your car should have two differentials. One up front and one in the rear. You should also have a center diff that kinda acts like a transfer case but it's different.

As long as it's GL-5 and proper weight for your climate, you should be good. Mobil 1 and Shell Rotella (rebranded Shell Spirax gear oil) both have a GL-5 80w-90 gear oil.
