Definitely do the master when you do the slave. I did the HD csc from z1.

Parts were about 700 cad (fk the conversion) labour was about 800 and went through 4 bottles of clutch fluids due to a string of faulty bleeder screw. Fml.

Thanks for reminding me I used some shoddy dot 4 on the last one since I didn't want to to waste anymore Rbf 60p or endless... lol sigh.

See if you can have it towed to a separate shop IMO. I just had my CSC replaced for a total of parts/labor of $820.43 and they finished it overnight - great shop that I would refer literally anyone to. I wouldn't just suck up the dealer hit, as I had one Nissan dealer quote me $1.4k and another $2.2k before I found this other shop.

Could be worth shopping for

I think the dealer already started the work. kinda late telling him now... at this point it is more insult to injury.

honestly though if my car was already towed to the dealership and they wanted 2k to fix, id just let dem do it. the hassle of re-towing the car to another shop and waiting on parts is not how I roll. I have better things to do with my time.

Go for the ZSPEED CMAK. I replaced it myself. No labor costs, only the kit cost!

$250 to flush the clutch line is highway robbery!!@#!@#

It takes less than half a 12oz brake fluid bottle to flush the line [very] thoroughly. The labor is practically nil. Let it gravity bleed for a few minutes, making sure to top it off as needed. Once satisfied new fluid is coming out, have a helper pump the pedal a few times to bleed it the traditional way. At most 20 minutes.

I do hope they're applying that $250 as a credit to you repair bill.

The dealer is crediting me with the $252 I paid last week to flush and refill the clutch fluid. The car will be ready this afternoon. The service writer called and asked if it was OK for the technician to take my car home overnight so that he could be sure that the clutch was operating correctly and that there were no leaks. Are they effing kidding me ??? No way I told him. The technician can drive it around the block and know if it's working and I'll know by the time I get home with the car as well.

I would have said: "Sure no problem, as long as you're willing to give me a loaner GTR over night free of charge".

When they said they would give me a loaner I said sure, I'll take a GTR. They gave me a Nissan Leaf ! All electric dog of a car with only a 105 mile range between charges. Driving it was definitely a strange experience. The only thing I liked about it was that it was very quiet at freeway speeds. I wish my Z was that quiet, it would make long trips and listening to music much more enjoyable.

$2k? That's nuts! Found a local mechanic to install z1 csc elimination kit and a clutch for $500. Shop around.
