My proposed BUILD
Time has come, probably in the next few months, to inject some real power into my currently bone stock 7AT Z.
I have chosen to go Supercharger route, because I most likely do not want to go beyond 550whp if I even can get their. I am currently aiming for 450whp and lowest boost possible. So doing some research and the help of other members I have come up with the following list of parts to my build: Stage 2 SC kit HD Radiator +hear exchanger +highoutput fans (Possibly overkill, may chose cheaper rad) HD Trans Cooler AAM R-Line Oil Cooler (Possibly overkill, may just go with a 34-row cooler) Stillen CBE + Berk HFC (Have read good reviews on stillen, not loud, and no drone, low rasp) CJM S1.SE Fuel System CJM Active Baffle Oil Pan (Yes, maybe overkill) 1000cc HD injectors Not sure what fuel pump Most likely an UpRev Tune. And in the future may use a Level 10 Rebuild on the 7AT. I have not bought any of these parts yet, so still open to change up my build. This Z is my DD but it might see some track usage through the year. Not sure if there are things I left out, what do you guys think about this potential build? Are there other things I may need or don't need? EDIT: Removed the brand of some items, just to try and keep the thred civilized. Last edited by shadow85; 12-11-2016 at 04:22 PM. |

Trying to help get this thread back on track
I'd like to see some discussion between Stillen A2A and the Rotrex unit. Essentially the same power, or maybe slightly different curves? |

none of the well informed members on here will recommend you buy anything from gtm/gamma or any such shady business. If you dont know the history behind them i either suggest you read on up this very forum or if you cannot, i suggest you stay clear of buying from them.
Your only option for a supercharger is stillen. Be warned though, the stillen tune is supposedly terrible as well. You need another tune from an experienced tuner. |

I have read many threads on Gamma after GTM, and I am aware of Sam and GTMs disgusting misconduct.
However I believe the new owners are not anything like Sam nor do they have the same intentions. I am willing to trust them and give them a chance, and I hope I do not offend anyone here in doing so. If I was to go Stillen, it would be with the A2A upgrade, and it would be a custom tune from revZone in Melbourne, they have done over 40 boosted Zs since 2010. But I am still deciding between Stillen A2A or Gamma Stage 2. I can get the later for around $6K brand new, where as the Stillen will cost me over $6K plus another $1.5K or so for the A2A upgrade. |

Why don't you just wait for the rjm kit to come out. If you plan on going to z days, the kit will be shown there and possibly put into the raffle. That kit seems to be the only hope for blowers to work great on our platform.

Ahaha Zdays. Yeah I will just put my Z on a boat for 2 months and come for the Zday :P lol
That being said, I have been following the RJM whipple thread, and extremly tempted to wait. It's just that I really imptient atm, I want POWA now. But I guess good things take time so I may aswell wait... |

Hmm this sounds interesting. Is there a forum or anything giving more detail on this? I googled but couldn't find anything besides the clutch pedal.

Search for RJ Manufacturing. RJM Performance is the company with the clutch pedal assembly.

I hope people will start coming around on this. There is no debate over the quality of GTM/Gamma products. As of right now, Gamma still is not allowed on this forum because of the sins of GTM. Quote:

Also, RJ Manufacturing has plenty of backstory on them as well. I'd be hesitant to give them any money or run anything they designed.

I live in Tampa Bay, and Bobby has changed his company 3 times now since I first got my 350z. I do not know exactly what his level of participation is with RJ. I do know, in my limited experience with the Z scene here in the area... I have yet to see an FI build done by his shops that haven't had plenty of problems. The few people I know have all blown motors, had crazy scope and timeline creep, etc. I am sure there are success stories, but I have no first or second hand knowledge of them. Maybe it will be different with RJ, but I wouldn't let that guy anywhere near my car. Just my 2 cents.
