How clear do you need it to be? You must have gotten lost here in the tech section. Weren't you banned the last time you tried to pretend you know anything?

Not everybody. Just you. Plenty of people here contribute loads of good information. It's the best part of this community. Unfortunately, we get turds in the punchbowl like you who only lower the average intelligence around here. I'm not the only one who thinks you should be permanantly banned, at least from the tech section. Here's a tip - if you don't know the answer, don't post one.

Is it so unthinkable that more than one person here thinks you're a ******* moron? Here's a hint - it's not just jar and I. The list is really long. But most of us would let your unique brand of idiocy slide if you would stay the **** out of the tech section. You don't know ****, and you give people bad advice. I'm pretty sure you got a two week vacation from this site because of you pretending to know tech stuff and giving bad info.

And so is your bullshit
And why do you "like" posts about your idiocy? Chuck and I aren't the only ones. Most people just put you on their ignore list so they don't even see the crap you post. But you post such ridiculous garbage so often that I cannot, in good conscience, hold my tongue. Others who have not encountered your nonsensical posts need to know that reading your posts is a waste of time.

Methinks this is a prime thread for IBTL....
In my experience, while lead caps that slide over the battery posts are a good temporary solution, the best long term solution is to replace the cable ends or the cables themselves. Properly maintained cable ends will tighten up properly and won't require shimming (or installation of copper pipe, screws or whatever jury-rigging people do). I've never had to install some kind of shim to make the battery cable terminal tighten on the post of the battery. madeinjapan.... like I've said before, there is good reason you are on peoples' iggy list. How do you get to be mid 50s and act like you have no 'learnin' at all? Insulting people that have demonstrated proficiency in automotive repair is just plain ignorant.....

Various nissan cars I've worked non readily accept battery post shims which effectively makes the posts a little thicker thereby allowing the cable terminals to tighten up better. As always clean terminals and posts to a bright and shiny condition and use some anti corosion grease. $5.00 and 20 minutes should alleviate the issue plus it's cheaper than new terminals and much easier. Good luck.
