Warm starts

Lately the car has had trouble starting after it warms up. Cold starts are fine. Battery is charged 14v. Only fuel thing I've done is the cjm rrp. Could it be bad gas, clogged injectors, clogged fuel filter or starter going up? Im trying to upload a video.

Two easy things are check the air filters and clean the MAFs.

Maybe not getting gas. Double check the rrp

Ill do that to start the process of elimination.

Pulled the plugs and cleaned the mafs. Put shell 93, warm starts are better

Plugs and everything else look fine. (Did you really remove the intake just to check for oil residue in the intake?)

Don't guess at the problem. Pick up a cheap ($15-20) OBD scanner and use an app (Fusion or torque) to look at your long term fuel trims. This will tell you if you are running rich, lean or OK.

If possible, it would be good to check the fuel pressure at idle. It should be about 51 psi.

No i pulled to check the plugs, car has trouble starting on earn starts. Ill have to look into the obd scanner.

sounds like bad check valve on fuel pump possibly. symptoms would be very similar. I would look into fuel pressure then go on from there

Have you been running an additive. I see some funky stuff on the plug.

Elmo370z 11-27-2016 11:12 AM

Nope. No additives. I put new fuel and it got better
