With my 2009 Touring Z, sometimes the car won't start when I push the clutch in. I'm not sure whether pumping the pedal or pushing the pedal in as hard

Clutch/Starting
With my 2009 Touring Z, sometimes the car won't start when I push the clutch in. I'm not sure whether pumping the pedal or pushing the pedal in as hard as I can is fixing the issue. The fluid level is above the low line, but that was after a 20 minute drive home from work. This is my first car where pushing the clutch in is required. Does this sound like a switch going bad or a clutch issue? Any help would be much appreciated.
