Would the Q50 fuel pump basket fits in my 370z?
 

Hello everyone,

My 370z fuel pump is broken, I couldn't find any basket or used fuel pump with basket on eBay, but when I did search the "2014 - 2016 INFINITI Q50 RWD FUEL PUMP WITH LEVEL SENSOR OEM" came up and it looks identical for the 370z fuel pump.

Do you guys think it's really the same part?

I don't know for sure but I do know that the g37 fuel basket doesn't work in our cars. Phunk can elaborate but I think it has to do with the depth of the tank. Im not sure if i would take the risk on this.

When you say your fuel pump is broken, what do you mean? Is the fuel pump assembly broken or did you pump just go out?

My fuel pump is fine, the fuel pump is broken.
I was driving on the highway then a long metal rod damaged my fuel tank, made a hole in it and broke the fuel pump basket.

So I think it's not worth it to buy a new one for about $400 since the pump is fine.

I havent handled a Q50 yet to know the tank depth. But as mentioned above, a G37 unit looks identical at first glance, but is a couple inches too short to put in a 370z. The pictures of the unit in the link you posted looks suspiciously shorter to me.

If you have the remains of your broken fuel pump: if the 2 long stainless rods are still straight, then you can install them to my billet 370z fuel pump hat, and use the basket from any 370z/g37/q50 fuel pump module since your 370z stainless rods will be setting the height.
