I've just gotten my car back and I've been putting breakin mileage on it, but I've run into a curious issue. Once the car has been driven a short distance, roughly 9 miles or so, the throttle will cut off at precisely 3500 RPM for roughly 2-3 seconds. There are no other error indications and no DTCs. If I restart the car, it will provide full range of throttle for another several miles before again cutting off at 3500 RPM.
My car is tuned with EcuTek, so one thought I had was that this is Valet Mode kicking in. However, I'm not on the valet mapping, so all should be normal. That said, I haven't driven the car in 7 months and don't even really remember how to turn valet mode off, if it is on. ![]() Another theory is severe limp mode, but again, there's no SES light and my oil temperature is reading 180F. Any thoughts? Cheers, -Brian
