[6MT] Difficult to put into Reverse? Need effort to push down and shift into R

I've just replaced my shift knob and I noticed it is hard to push down to get into reverse. The push down travel was only about 1/4" to 1/2" or so, doesn't feel like it travel 1" as before

shifting into 1st to 6th is smooth, but getting into reverse needs effort to push down. I hope I didn't do something wrong or something gets jammed to prevent the travel?
