Default Car will not start help please

2009 370z
Single Turbo

Well this is embarrassing, never in my life have I allowed a car to run out of gas. I let my gas get low after an autocross session and when I was coming off a ramp, I was speeding up and the car lost power.

I pulled over on the side of the road and began my nightmare. I tried adding gas in intervals i am now at a full tank.

* Reset the codes with the battery disconnect
* Tried starting fluid
* Checked for fuel at the
* Checked plug fouling
* Checked spark
* Used my ECUTek to check for DTCs
* Cleared DTCs, only the code B2607 and B2609 came up which I read is the steering lock hack
* Reset ECU
* Checked fuel pump status
* Fuel Pump Control On

Nothing, at this point I am wondering if I burned the fuel pump out and perhaps not getting enough pressure?

I do not have a fuel pressure gauge connected unfortunately,

Any advice appreciated.

Well if you don't have a fuel pressure gauge you could just go straight to pulling the pump and see if it's clogged with something

Or the fuel pump has overheated and failed ......... pumps are cooled by fuel and if the fuel runs out, pump can fail.

I'm betting your pump is toasted as well.

Does the z have a schreader valve on the fuel rail? I haven't checked mine yet but most cars now days do. If so just use a pocket screw driver, safety glasses and a rag. Depress the schreader quickly and see if you have a spray. It's not scientific but it will give you an idea if you have pressure before buying a pump at a guess since you don't need max pressure just to start and idle the pump would have to be damn near dead to not start.

Nissan decided not to put a shreader valve on the fuel system. If you want to check fuel pressure. Best thing to do is to get phunk's fuel gauge kit.

DTCs B2607 and B2109 both point to the ESCL as being the problem.

Wait I was under the impression this was a crank no start? Is this actually a no crank no start? I would think the column lock module would cause a no crank condition (similar to others, early vettes, MB, etc).

OP doesn't actually say one way or the other (although the use of starting fluid seems kind of useless if it's not). But, yeah, if it's cranking, probably not the ESCL.

This is a crank (turns over) and no start. I replaced the pump and it seems to want to start now. However still no go. I need to order the fuel pressure adapter mentioned earlier to verify that Im getting enough pressure. I know I have spark.
