Loud noise when decelerating
 

When I get up to 6k rpms and let off the gas and let the engine slow the car down there is a really distinct vibrating noise that sounds awful and idk if that's normal

Is there a way you can take a video of it (safely)? You will get some people here that will want to hear the exact sound to be able to pinpoint what is wrong with it.

I think mine might be doing something similar but yours is much louder, will have to test driving it like you did in the video

If you figure it out let me know my Nissan dealership sucks and wants $140 to diagnose it.

They always want 140 for anything.

Which is stupid, anyone have an idea on what this sound is

Im guessing U have modded the car, exhaust, headers, downpipes.

What mods do you have? Any work on the tranny?

You may need to find a mechanic-type person to take it for a test drive. Very hard to diagnose noises over the Internet unless they are very pronounced. If you buy/rent/borrow an OBD scanner, you can monitor AFRs and such and maybe get an idea what's going on.

My dad used to be a mechanic and he has an OBD, but he's out of town and he's the one who helps me do all the mechanical stuff with my car. I was just trying to see if it was something I should worry about.

Sounds like it might be the thin aluminum heat shield thats right above short tails. Mine was making noise so I removed it. No problems. I would check that first
