"Service engine soon" light

My "service engine soon" light came on today at 3900 miles. This happen to anyone else? I am thinking it is just a "time to get your oil changed" reminder

I am thinking it is just a "time to get your oil changed" reminder that comes on at a given mileage. Anyone confirm this?
