Quaife install part list
Guys,
About to get a Quaife LSD to swap in, currently have a 7at base open diff. I have the full set of whiteline diff bushings already, however: The sticky thread shows these parts as needed: 2x - 38440-0C000 - Differential Side Bearing 2x - 38342-P9010 - Differential Side Oil Seal 2x - 11026-4N200 - Differential Drain Plug Crush Washer 1x - 38120-0C000 - Carrier Bearing Assembly 1x - 38140-0C00A - Pinion Bearing 1x - 38189-P0117 - Drive Oil Seal But when z1 and others sell the Quaife with "Bearings and seals included" they're only including the side bearings and seals. Do I actually need the full part list above or just what they bundle with it? |
My stock diff has 66k miles on it btw. I don't know if that factors in to replacing the bearings or not.
|
Anyone?
|
When I put mine in I reused the oil seals since I only had like 26k on my diff. But one thing you are missing witch is a big safely/ reliability issue is the ring gear bolts. once they are torqued then removed they are now no longer as strong as they once are. so I recommend ordering those too for like $50. That should be in the sticky also. My install was done at a Nissan dealership for around $850 ish.
Also I have not had any issues with oil leaking. |
The seals are like a dollar each so I'm not worried about those. I guess the question is more of these two bearings which are $130 total:
1x - 38120-0C000 - Carrier Bearing Assembly 1x - 38140-0C00A - Pinion Bearing I'll make sure to get the ring gear bolts. |
This was my purchase list:
Side Bearings 2x 38440-0C000 Side Oil Seal 2x 38342-P9010 Oil plug washer 2x 11026-4N200 Drive Bearing Pinion Rear 1x 38120-0C000 Drive Bearing Pinion Front 1x 38140-0C00A Oil seal pinion 1x 38189-P0117 75W90 NS GL-5 Gear Oil 2 Quarts +Differential spacers as needed. Also how many 38102 ring gear bolts are needed? Z1 has them listed for $3.33. https://www.z1motorsports.com/rear-d...lt-p-6150.html |
There are 10 of them
P# 38102 Take a look at the sticky thread as most of these questions can be answered. |
unfortunately that sticky thread part number for the bolts is incomplete, there's about 12 different types of that bolt. Need the second half of the part number. I'm looking for it.
EDIT: oh the z1 page has it right there. 38102-7S000 |
