want to replace the fluid while I'm im at it... Red Line (50304) MT-90 75W-90 is this the correct one?
http://www.amazon.com/Red-Line-50304...=ATVPDKIKX0DER |
I actually get the Redline 75W90 for the OEM VLSD because it is a GL-5 gear oil. The MT-90 you linked is a GL-4 gear oil.
Note that a GL-4 gear oil is recommended for the the 370Z manual transmission. MT-85 is the most commonly used fluid for the MT. |

Make sure to use this one http://www.amazon.com/Red-Line-57904.../dp/B000CPCBF0 . Its the redline 75w-90 for your diff but is the GL-5 instead of the GL-4. GL-4 is fine in your transmission, but not in your diff as JARblue stated.

how much Quarts do i need to buy of the Red Line 57904 (75W90) ?
|
Expect to use about 1.5 bottles refilling the diff, so you'll need 2.

Yep. I would also get a pump for the bottle because it makes life MUCH easier. Also be careful if you fill the diff while it is out of the car because you can overfill it.

This is exactly why I joined this forum. Problem presents itself. You guys help to fix it. Awesome...

The original post was fixed as well. |
anyone heard any thing about the Whiteline bushing melting?
|

Nope. Frankly, I've been a little disappointed in the Whiteline bushings and feel I should have got the SPL solid. But I care little about NVH even though the car is a DD. If you do care about that stuff, probably best to go with the whiteline poly bushings. |
