Hey guys,
I was just wondering how you all treat your engine with regard to warming it up. My usual routine is get in the car and let it idle for about 30 seconds until the RPMs drop to a steady state. Then I drive like grandma for about 10 minutes until we get to ~150-160, keeping all shifts below 4K. Then I start driving a bit more spiritedly until we are at 180, at which point I'm shifting around 6-6.5K rpm. I tend to drive spiritedly everywhere (without being obnoxious). I probably come close to redline at least once a day (especially on freeway merges). How hot do you let things get before really punching it? |
