How warm to get engine before whippin it?

Like Z-Girl said you don't have to wait down here, the oil up to temp. by the time you get out of the driveway.

i wait for oil temp to come up a bit. water temp coming up means nothing...

take bmw for instance, their cars can't rev to normal redline until the cars oil temp is at 160 degrees. including old e46 m3's which were NA.

I let mine idle until the water temp gets to the third lite. I drive gingerly shifting out at about 2500 until the oil temp is above 140 then it's game on
