France opposed the invasion of Iraq. Who was right?

If not for France, there would be no USA. You know that, yes?

Sorry to keep this guy's OT post going, but this kind of sh*t pisses me off.

You can not go wrong with Redline.

Steve you realize we, as in the US, returned the favor during WWII (they had a small problem with some fella's called Nazi's)! I have zero issues with anyone complaining about France. You also realize France is the major contributor towards a nuclear Iran. Could you imagine a nuclear capable Iran. My appologies to the OT, but this kinda sh*t pisses me off as well.

I say let them have 'em...they'll blow themselves up long before they can manage to blow anyone else up.

I have always used Mobile 1... but my last change there was a nice deal on Royal Purple: 5 quarts and the oil filter for what the 4 quart bottle of Mobile 1 cost.... so i said screw it lets see what all the hype is about...

Dude... this stuff is purple... Like in the color purple. I always thought royal purple was just a name that came out of nowhere... (i get entertained by things like that)

anyways... I have not noticed any difference at all between the Mobile 1 or RP... both work well, both smell good, and both will only be in the car for 3,000 miles.

As long as it's classified as an "ester" oil, you're doing fine. Both are, BTW (yes, flamers, I did my homework and checked!) I got a sweet deal on Mobil 1 ($4.95/qt. with NO excise tax!). I change it every 7,500k 'cause I'm a conservative driver--60 y.o. I treat her with T.L.C.!

Can you provide a link to where Mobil 1 is listed as having esters?

I might be mistaken, but I think its one of their high mileage formulations.

I don't think the base M1 has esters according to this, it a group III mineral oil (PAO) with Alkylated Naphthalenes.

Mobil 1 no esters - Bob Is The Oil Guy

PAO is actually a 100% synthetic base stock. I think at one point M1 was using a mix of group 3 and PAO.

My bad. PAO is short for poly-alpha-olefin, which is a Group IV. It is believed that M1 5-30W is a blend of group III and group IV oils.

"We have not been able to get much information on the Nissan Ester Oil but our analysis indicates that it is part or full synthetic oil. Many synthetic oils, including Mobil 1, contain a variety of synthetic fluids, and usually this includes esters."

LOL, that statement could not be more vague. It suggests that many manufacturers may use esters but in no way commits that Mobil 1 does. I'm sure they do use some but I have to laugh at their data sheets.

I'm thinking since they said "including Mobil 1", they meant "including Mobil 1".

Agree about their data sheets, they don't exactly give away the formulas. Of course, they do not contain the Magic Nissan Nanoparticles, so the oil is entirely useless.
