No, what it does is trick the car into thinking the pedal is pressed more than it is. The car thinks the pedal is pressed 30% more than it is. So at light throttle, it feels peppier since the car is responding like you pressed the throttle 30% more. The down side is that, since the throttle can only open 100%, you will be wide open at 70% pedal travel. There will be no difference between 3/4 throttle and WOT. So the last quarter of the pedal travel will feel like it's not giving it any more gas, since the throttle is already wide open.

Sprint Booster simply amplifies the voltage of the pedal position sensor. Essentially, this tricks the ECU into thinking the gas pedal is pushed down farther than it actually is. The end result of this is that SB has the ECU going 100% throttle (aka WOT) before you have pushed the gas pedal the full travel distance.

A real tune corrects the throttle lag from the factory tune and leaves your gas pedal with effective input over 100% of the travel. This allows more precise throttle input which can be extremely important when racing on the ragged edge of traction or drifting.

Having both just means there is a difference between how far you have to press the gas pedal to get the same resulting throttle input. This difference makes some people feel like the acceleration is better, but it's just a mind trick. The difference in how long it takes to push the gas pedal that extra distance without SB is negligible in the real world

You'll definitely notice a difference. Just don't be fooled into thinking its doing more than simulating you pushing the pedal down farther. You should be able to recoup most of your funds selling it when you get a tune

U shouldn't have to on a sports car.

Op- It's a dramatic difference with and without sprint booster. U might like it and decide it is enough.

was looking for this thread then got moved... lol

I sort of disagree with that. faster you push for faster response/slower for slower responses.

op's choice but I personally would go with the tune after all your modding is done.

Default New to the "Z" world.. Is a "Sprint Booster" worth it??

Basically, just a light tap on the pedal, my car jumps like a MF! To me, that's what kind of result I was looking for. The nicest thing is SB has a few settings: 1. Green (Fuk me!) 2. Red (holly ****!) 3. Off

I have had a 2010 and a 2015. The problem does not exist on the 2015. The clutch issue is not a problem either.
