I think, it's the auto computer not being able to keep up with your demands. Usually this is one of the major reasons why people get manual cars. The response time is far better, you're always in control, you save gas, fixing is cheaper, they accelerate better and you can push them to higher RPMs and they genuinely last longer (depending on driving style). My step mom had the same problem with her dodge nitro and I also experienced it with another auto car that I drove.
Basically as you're going and want to suddenly punch it, it's as if instead of downshifting it stays on neutral instead for like a split second and your RPMs shoot up... Then the gear kicks in and it's back to normal, Correct? But it's a major buzz kill if you want to pass someone or suddenly take off... Yeah it's normal, at least in my experience, I guess it's the computer trying to protect your tranny... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
