engine upgrades

Hi all,

My car engine is broken and I need to rebuild the engine...the cost at the agency dealer is US $ 6010 ....so I thought with this amount I could build a better engine with more HP and heavy duty.
My objective is to get the maximum HP from the engine without installing neither a Turbo nor a supercharger.

Am open for any suggestions. ...and thank you in advance for all of your support and guidance. ..
BTW. ..what is the maximum HP can I gain by upgrading the engine without any supercharger or turbo?
Also I would appreciate any recommendations on other upgrades on the drive train.

Waiting for reply

6000 won't get you much of anything...
If you want the most power NA you need a stroker kit and cams would be a start..
But right there is 6k without any labor
You Can add header and test pipes or HFC..long tube headers
Ideally you would need double and more the amount to build the engine

Thank you for your prompt reply. ...then you advice is to do the rebuilt on dealer workshop and to drop the idea of upgrade with this budget?

What about the stage 1 long block package that Kyle is offering from import part pro for about US $ 7000?

Anyone here experienced the stage 1 long block package that Kyle is offering from import part pro for about US $ 7000?
Any idea how good it is and what would the HP gained?
Is it worth it?

Kyle's offering is low-compression (~9.5:1) on the basis it will be boosted ... is not for NA.

You could try hi-comp pistons from JWT but you would need to run "good" fuel all the time as it will be 12:1 (OEM is 11:1). I am talking about 100-octane (RON) as a bare minimum - not sure what this is in US terms as you guys use MON numbers for your fuel. You will also need a solid tune

I am thinking your budget is about 50% of what you actually will end up spending ...

rebuilt motor bored, decked, hot tank etc & rebuilt with forged pistons & rods, head studs/bolts & gaskets cost me roughly $9k as an FYI just to keep things in perspective. this was roughly 6 months ago. Heads weren't touched at all.

Damn I need to start building engines for this community. I didn't realize how much inflation machine shops charge to disassemble/assemble a short block!

Very small market for our platforms

There are more and more factory internals boosted Z's every day man. This market will only continue to be on the climb as engines wear out.

Since your in uae you need to find a garage that can rebuild your engine for a lot cheaper than $6k usd. The stealership will rip people off that's common knowledge. Probably there is no need of a rebuild knowing the uae dealer they just suggested that to make some more money. I highly recommend a second opinion from another garage.
