Default Crappy 1-2 shift

Hi. I am feeling like a noob with the 1-take off to 2 shift with the stock clutch. Feels like a truck on/off shift. No feel. Looking at the aftermarket solution that's out there. Looking for any input and feedback from any who have tried the adjustable clutch pedal. Thanks.

Start by pulling out the helper spring on the clutch. It helps, it's free and it takes ten minutes.

Thanks Chuck. I searched and got in to info about the helper spring.I read about the csc fail and the adjustable clutch package is supposed minimize or fix the issue. Not sure what supports that claim. I'm not a stop light drag racing person but I only start to pull after a slow 1-2 shift.

Replace the spring with the eBay spring to get rid of the limp floppy **** clutch pedal. Made a huge difference. Basically how the car should have been.

Count to 3 before releasing the clutch after shifting to 2nd gear. Will make it much smoother. And install the spring as well,

So am I a shitty driver or is the z fine and I need to adjust to it? I want to upgrade the exhaust but don't want to loudly broadcast how I can't manage to shift I t correctly.
My first car was an 1968 triumph gt6 mk3 at 15yrs old. I have many years on a manual shift with regular heel / toe. This z just feels slow and clumsy on the get go shift..

It's clunky. You get used to it.

This ^

In addition, you may want to shift at a lower RPM (2k-2.5k). It's all about the muscle memory. Z is a tough car to get used to. Practice!

Coming from an s2000 the 370z stock clutch pedal was just unacceptable and made me flat out miss the s2ks effortless clutch and transmission. The 370z is a sports car and I shouldn't have to feel like I'm fighting the car to get it to run smooth. Personally tried the helper spring and it still didn't fix the problem. I now have the RJM clutch pedal and its hands down the best mod on the car(along with the TWM short shifter) it makes the shifting in this car the way it should be effortless and fun.
