Could I get someone's opinion on this:
http://m.ebay.com/itm/2013-NISSAN-37...613?nav=SEARCH Will it fit? It's got a 90 day warranty. Can a regular transmission shop do the fluid swap or is it a dealer only thing? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk Last edited by harman.khinda; 02-08-2016 at 11:37 PM. |

It says the trans is from a 370z so it should be fine. I'm guessing you drive your car "spirited" which is why your transmission is going out. If that's the case then you should consider getting a built transmission. If you have 150k+ from normal driving then I'd say yeah, the used 21k transmission might not be a bad idea.

Would a regular shop have the equipment to do the transmission fluid change? A system capable of reading the transmission fluid temp. It looked all new stuff in there but I have to wait till the morning to ask them.

I also got quoted 10k (from the dealership) for a new stock transmission and went with Level 10 last year. Best decision I ever made.

I have had it since September. I paid right under 5k. They have you send in your transmission and completely rebuild it. Shipping takes 2-3 days one way depending on where you live, takes them right at 3 days to rebuild it and then they send it back. My car was down a total of 8 days. It is built to withstand either 700 hp or like JWillis 1000 hp which obviously cost a little more. I can tell a noticeable difference in how fast and firm it shifts. Much better deal than just going back with the stock transmission that cost more and could end up breaking again.

4-5 gear slipping is mainly the valve body problem. I helped 3 people locally to order the valve body upgrade from Level Ten already.

I second everyone who stated Level 10. These guys do great transmission work for our 5A/T and 7A/T platforms. I've been tracking their "bulletproof" transmission for a while now with 500awhp without any problems.
