(MT) Ignition Point for Clutch Pedal
 

Just a precaution I'm trying to watch out for. I recently replaced my clutch because of CSC failure and went ahead and upgraded while the transmission was dropped. I also recently found out that the clutch doesn't need to be pushed to the floor when going in & out of gears. Because of my previous car's clutch engaging at the bottom, I always did this with my Z. Which may be the reason my CSC failed. (Sorry about the lack of engagement knowledge, being that i'm only 18.)

Anyways, So I got a stage 3 clutch kit w/ HD CSC and daily driving as been becoming a PITA. To help I purchased the RJM Clutch Pedal Assembly. So basically the whole point of the post is that pushing clutch to floor I bad for the CSC (At least from what I've heard). So to fully eliminate me having to push the clutch to the floor I've been driving while only pushing in the clutch in right past engagement point (A little over an inch). The only persisting problem is that to start my car, the pedal has to be fully depressed, which supposedly isn't good for the CSC. So is there anyway to change/bypass the position of the "Ignition Point" for the clutch pedal? Would really appreciate some positive feedback, I don't post that much but want to become an active member down the road.

The reason the CSC fails is the fact that it's made of plastic inside. Not pushing the pedal to the floor. Sure, it may cause the OEM to fail faster, but it's not the reason it breaks. You could baby it along and still have it fail. People here have had it fail with <1k miles on the odometer. If you've got a HD CSC (and you don't have a Spec clutch), you've got nothing to worry about. Push it to the floor on startup and never worry about it again.

Now, unless you swapped in a new master cylinder when you dropped the trans, you might have an issue there. They don't like to go dry. But, it's a cheap part and it's accessible from the top.

Also with the RJM you can adjust your bottom sensor position
