What are some of the key benefits to running a dry sump setup vice OEM?

You can rev the motor higher since you don't have to worry about grenading the oil pump. You won't oil starve the motor in a high-g turn. Higher capacity. You also pick up a few hp since you eliminate windage losses.

Looks like I just found another hole for my money to jump into....sheeit.:icon14:

In comparison to the new CJM baffled oil pan, would the CJM pan suffice if the car isn't subject to excessive strain?

A big hole. It's not a cheap setup, and you lose AC unless you can figure out a way to make a custom setup. The oil pump goes where the AC compressor is.

As long as you stick to the factory 7500 rpm limit, a wet sump will be fine on these cars.

I think I remember that on a review...(highest hp NA). I live in GA, and I DO love my AC.

As long as you stick to the factory 7500 rpm limit, a wet sump will be fine on these cars.

Good to know, I need to know my limitations lol...especially with the way I drive. (with a sense of urgency)

You think a bunch of untested parts will let you make more power NA than anyone has ever made by a large amount. It might, it might not. If you come to the table with a 400whp NA vq37, I'll make good on my end.

And he only hit ~370. You're shooting for 400, right? That's a tall order.

If that mani flows like they say im sure woth c-85 tune or race gas with good set of heads will make close or not 400whp

We'll see. They haven't shown any tests on that manifold. Flow isn't the only thing to worry about. You can flow too much and lose velocity. It may do nothing on a NA build. It may make fucktons of power. We'll just have to see what it makes on a third party dyno.

Id rather run a nismo oil pump... Only if my car been a straight auto cross/circuit car I would do a dry sump. If u still gonna daily. Get the pump instead.

Nismo pump isn't worth my time for my build. If i was going forced induction route yes. I'm planning on revving past 8,500 rpms. Im going the dry sump route.

Ahh yes the 9 billion dollar daileys set up. (Like 7500 for just the pump and pans you are on your own for the rest of it lol)

Just get a custom adapter plate made to fit 09 maxima TBs, those plug right in.

About that bracket to keep the ac, can you source one out?
