No it won't swap directly over. It would be a good time to buy a a better LSD at the time you do the swap. You'll enjoy the 3.69's ;)

Felix, do you have a 7at with 3.69 FD? If so, how noticeble is the difference? Do you lose top end?

Of course you going to lose top end when you change gears... But how after are you doing 160 plus...I have 4.08 gears and love them

Yes it is a noticeable difference. you will not lose real world top end. Here is a link with video http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...ar-review.html

You're going to gain top end being the car will rev higher in final gear . There is no way the car can reach it's final drive Top speed which calculates to > 200MPH. You gain speed because the car will rev closer to redline in top gear allowing the car to travel faster.

Thanks guys, gonna do the 3.69 FD swap this weekend at my friend's garage, he has a 350z with a 370z diff and his getting 4.08 so I'm gonna buy his 370z MT diff.

I'll keep you guys posted, also ordered some Injen Intakes to go lagoon with my res test pipes and custom exhaust. Going to get either headers or Z1 top and lower plenum, don't know yet. Any suggestions are welcomed!

Ok the housings are the same but the carriers are different. Also yes the stub flanges are different from vlsd- to base and 350z to 370z. The little taper where the splines stop and the flange seats against the carrier is different on 350z stub axle flanges. So you will need whichever flanges match your carrier (lsd, vlsd, open, and 350vs 370z) and then that will fit in any housing. If you want to run any gear larger than 3.569 you will need to make sure the carrier (and as such its matching flanges) is one of the manual versions. Forgot to mention the abs ring tooth count is one tooth different on the 350z flanges as well doesnt make a huge difference though.

I sold my quaife manual rear end to critical and he loves the **** out of it on his auto. it made the car much faster.

Just installed tha MT differential on my 7AT. The 3.69 are awesome! Got to say that I miss my VLSD, the MT diff is open... But it was free soooo...

3rd pull way harder, just had a friendly race on a closed road with a friend with a evo X with bolt ons and mild tune, we did a 3rd gear pull (45pmh- 120mph), I pulled 3 cars ahead!!!
