Rattling noise?

Hey all, so I recently purchased a 2010 M6 Z and the only problem I have with it is this "rattling" noise coming from the engine/transmission area... It gets worse when the AC is on and goes away when I push the clutch in. I can also hear it really bad when in a higher gear (3rd,4th) at lower rpms when I accelerate but not decelerate. Could this be the throw out bearing? Or something else?

Ohh...i see the problem, you must be new to RACECARS!!!!

Its ur clutch throw out bearing ur right. Normal sound, if you dont hear that rattle, u might have a problem.

Thanks. I've never heard it on other manuals before so I wasn't sure if it was bad or not.

Confused. My new z does not make this rattle that is considered "normal". Should I alert my dealer of a potential problem or are the newer models quiet?

If the previous owner had changed the clutch he might have installed a lightweight single mass flywheel .....that would increase the "rattle sound " and make it more noticeable compared to a stock clutch z

I'll find out for sure this weekend as my CSC is going out. I'm changing out my Clutch/Flywheel and CSC so I guess i'll know if it was changed out in the past.

Previous owner had a lightweight aluminum flywheel installed. I installed a mid-weight 21 lb steel flywheel, and its definitely quieter.
