Unless you have a lift, it's not easy getting the 2nd oil pan off. Someone with a lift could of had the tranny out in 45min and the oil pan off in the same time. That front cover is no joke, but if you are on jackstands, I would have done the same. MA drops the whole motor and cradle out of the car to change the cams. Different strokes for different folks.
No argument about using a lift vs. not using one. We just don’t have one and I had confidence doing it this way due to videos of Z1 and AdminTuning doing the install on jack stands. At this point I would say without a doubt the preferred method would be with a lift and to drop the engine/tranny. That said, it can be done properly this way and we are in no hurry. It’s only a race against my patience but in all we are both enjoying it and learning along the way.

Exactly why I was comfortable doing it this way. Springs have been replaced and cams were installed today. We are officially re-building, which should be much faster than the tear down was. I'm getting excited now.

What's the time frame? Looking forward to it.

Will probably have it to Dynosty the week of 6/24. Don’t have a scheduled tune date but I’m leaving it with them and they are going to work it in the first opportunity they have. So Hopefully tuned/dyno results by end of June or early July.
