We have a shipper that is from out west that has taken care of a few of our customers cars.

What is the cost of the shipper?

Just based on the dyno graph on the first page compared to the ones available for the JUN cams on similar set ups(Not the built high compression motor). There have also been some issues with the JUN cams idling correctly without having to bump the idle RPM up considerably, not something we like to do on most street applications.

The other huge selling point is state side customer support, I realize this does not have an impact on you. But JWT has been tremendous to work with, and takes very good care of their customers via quick support and a vast knowledge of the VQ platform. JUN is very hard to communicate with here in the US, so its a hard product to support with any questions that need to be answered.

I absolutely agree with your comment about JWT - they are very helpful folks and get back with responses quickly.

The Base part # is 13231-EY00, but you need to measure and get the correct size. We normally just spec them out when we build the heads and order them.

Ok gotcha, guess I'll just wait then. Thank you

Any updates on the stage 2 cam?

Elmo370z 04-13-2016 09:43 PM

bumps

I called JWT and asked about the timeline for stage 2 cams last week and they said (and this is paraphrasing): its set to be looked at later this year but is not something I would hold your breath for to be released within this year. In a nut shell they were very vague and noncommittal to a time-frame, and that's understandable. They said they haven't started development but have plans to do so this year. And that's all understandable as we all know how we get when we are told a date then it takes longer.

What I pulled from the phone call was "if your planing on pulling the engine this year and want cams the ones that are out are the ones you get. If your not committed and want to wait a year, give or take, we 'should' have a stage 2 by then."

Stage 2 is planed to be more aggressive and get the most they can get from the VHR. I asked if it was to be cut with more intention of being a FI cam or for NA and they said they wanted it to benefit both equally and not be bias more towards one than the other when it comes to it.

So... take from that what you will.

Do you know who you spoke with? As some of this info is not correct.

I don't recall the gentleman's name. A lady answered the phone, I asked to talk to someone about the VQ37VHR cams; I was put on hold and then a guy answered and we conversed for about 20 minutes about them.

Which info is incorrect?
