Personally I have been satisfied with the power this car makes at 342whp, and cannot think of a time when I was driving on the street thinking I wish it had more power. It is usable, I don’t drive on interstates, instead I am fortunate to live an area with great driving roads with hills and tight curvy roads. Because of that I already very rarely reach the limits of this car and certainly couldn’t if I had 600hp. I’m excited for a little extra power from these Cams, how much who knows? However, it’s more about adding to the excitement that already is from a higher revving NA exhaust sound which will just add to the driving experience I already enjoy. Cam + FBO, coolerworx shifter, stiffer bushings, tune out the throttle lag, a lightweight flywheel....should make quite an experience.

I like the slightly lumpy idle at the very beginning. A little bit more rawness to it.

Good news bad news. Good news was that Dynosty had a dyno cancellation so they grabbed my car and strapped it to the rollers today. Bad news is that when they hooked the computer up Hal was getting 40-50% variances in bank to bank fuel balance. They are going to try and diagnose by Monday and put together a game plan.

I would say it was the one part of the install that wasn't on our radar despite multiple conversations with Dynosty & Z1 and reading from others who have conducted the install of these cams. The VVEL Modules have to be indexed perfectly and we did not realize until we had already removed the drivers side. We were then able to scribe the passenger side and had no issues getting it realigned.
Quite tricky. |
