How is the coolant reservoir? Is it full or empty? Maybe they didn't bleed the cooling system properly. Air in the system would cause overheating. When I installed my gtm superchager the fan shroud had to come out. If not careful the radiator could have been easily damaged. I would check that first.

Check with your tuner and make sure that they modified the fan tables so the radiator fan comes on earlier and at a higher speed.
I would also recommend an upgraded radiator. |

I mean that fan needed to be removed. Once removed the radiator is exposed. When installing supercharger parts the radiator could get accidently punctured by a tool/part causing a small leak. Did u check the coolant reservoir?

Get an upgraded radiator (CSF), make sure you're running straight water+water wetter, and make sure the fan tables are set to come on much sooner than stock. That will likely help a lot.

You only stated you add an oil cooler you NEED a trans cooler for sure and make sure that the tuner change the fan speeds and when they kick on. I had mine change to 100% speed at 185 Deg, and never had and issue when I was FI 100+ deg temps out side, AC blasting.
If you dont get a trans cooler OH and BTW make sure the torque tables where changed you will need a tranny

This should give you a good idea of where the dots put you:
Factory Coolant Gauge Readings Chuck is correct, upgrade the radiator along with the fan speed, this will allow better overall cooling along with keeping it cooler longer since the fans will kick on at a lower temp & can spin higher if needed.

Am really getting fed-up with this upgrade...a lot of headache plus I really don't have time for this...I spent many days trying to figure what could be the problem...that's end up here
I will uninstal the supercharger and return my car to original condition...this project is over...I will pack the supercharger and offer it for sale...any dam price and let it go...not my way of handling my lovely Z....can't stand many mechanics playing, testing, trying, driving it anymore...already many scarchs done by them and their dam tools... Bye bye GTM supercharger Thank you all for your great support and help...really appreciate it |

That's certainly one way to do it. It's a little extreme for something that would be solved with a radiator and a couple of gallons of water.

Proper coolant, fan speed, and a good tune will work wonders but the other additions will just take it to the next level.

His climate is also a hell of a lot more extreme than ours. Any build over there needs all of the cooling upgrades. He might need a vented hood as well.

It's absolutely two things, the weather here is extremely hot...and tune issue....might be also cuz it's AT Trans. ..this why I decided to end this project...can't spend more....Boxes are ready for the kit...in 4 days my turn in the work shop will come...and all will be taken out from my car going to boxes....and next is sell it...I will let it go for the first best offer...maybe if someone can install anywhere that is colder and had better tuning software. ..engine overheat won't come...

It's not because it's an auto. All you need is a $500 radiator and some water. The tune issue could be fixed in five minutes. It would be cheaper to fix the problem than take the kit off.

Mechanic told me it could be tourq converter issue...some times it happens. ...other times it's normal...however, if I put it on tiptronic manual and change the gear manually, everything seems to be fine... |
