Rattle and chatter from transmission

Hey guys,

I'm noticing a chatter and rattle type noise when I start off moving in 1st gear. Noise goes away after 2k rpm or so when going into 2nd. I noticed this usually only happens when the car is hot and I've been working the 1-2 shift a lot. So it doesn't happen when I first start driving the car. Transmission is also brand new. Any ideas if this is normal? OEM clutch and flywheel. Usually a lightened flywheel will make this noise not an oem setup. Any input?

Thabks

Dude its absolutely normal, ive been driving in nyc for over 5 years in this car and believe me 40k miles later its still doing that same thing, those same dump truck sounds, its a real sports car with cheap *** clutch that works.

it works thats all that matters to me, if you dont like that shatter get and auto, otherwise any clutch u will drop in to this car WILL have shatter.

Thanks. Just to clarify, once the car gets hot enough, clutch out and give gas in 1st right as the car starts to move...that's when the chatter happens and it'll go away as soon as I start to give gas

Its got nothing to do with the clutch being cheap, its actually just noises/vibrations from the input shaft. The noise only gets worse if you install a lightweight flywheel, because our oem flywheel is a dual mass and it dampens the noise quite a bit.

Yours does the same thing?

Howcome this only happens when the car is very hot and not when it's cold?

Yeah and I have a lightweight flywheel so it's way worse. There's no solid answer as to why but I think it's from metal expansion due to heat.

Did it make the noise before your aftermarket flywheel? That's normal. Oem setup should be quite though

Yes your right, but i was just implying that this clutch is cheap, by the way guys ive learned how to drive without chatter, its basicaly like this get in to first and get it to 3k rpm, right be4 u get to 3k let go of gas and hit the clutch so that the car dosent have a chance to shift weight, this way u dont have chatter. Another words u take weight off the transmission and clutch it, this merge where the clutch has no weight on it to be bounsed back and forth.

Yes it gets louder, cuz metal expands under heat, and the constant noise you hear from under the car while idleing is ur throwout bearing.

Why? Cuz SPORTSCAR!!!!

The good news is, if that noise goes away or chatter, u got a problem, so listen to it as sweet sound of all is good ;)

My 370Z SPORTS CAR doesn't chatter at all when I let the clutch out. I only have 9000 miles on it, but it's as very smooth.

Wait what?!

The chatter and throwout bearing sound is normal, and only gets worse with upgrades???
I just ordered a clutch & flywheel today... seriously...

But I'm also having issues with 4th gearing popping out into neutral, it's happened twice now once last week & again this morning. Any ideas on that guys?

If your in warranty then go to the dealer, if your gear is popping out that sounds like a worn synchro.
