Default Do I need a new clutch?

I'm having a hard time getting my car into gear, most notably 2nd when I'm trying to really get on it from a dig.

I only grind when I'm flooring the accelerator and its only from 1st to 2nd. Under normal load however, there is still 'resistance' when going into gear (all of them, not just 2nd)

edit: Not very good with cars, but now I realize its probably my gears, and not my clutch... Which sucks, because I'm betting that replacing that is expensive

Your not in a race car, you need to give the syncro a little time to sync up or you will destroy it.

And this is why I ask that being said, I'm still pretty sure that it used to shift faster...

Before going to the trouble/$$$ of replacing the clutch or transmission, try replacing the transmission fluid. Several threads on the subject; search is your friend.

Best way to tell if you need a new clutch. Put the car in 4th. Side step the clutch. If it stalls immediately, clutch is good. If the engine continues to run and the car starts moving, then the clutch is on the way out.

Put the clutch in and then slide your foot off it to the side very quickly. This can also be referred to as "dumping" the clutch.

Car kinda eases forward about half an inch and then stalls out.

Sounds like it's good then. If the clutch was out then it probably wouldn't stall at all.

You are likely just shifting too fast for the syncro.

Switch the fluid out for Redline MT85 and see if that helps

Check clutch fluid! Make sure it's at full! Change fluid would help as well..

Check your clutch fluid, you may need to flush it. Motul RBF600 is a good replacement, or Castrol SRF even better.
