Is this bad?
The light on the left has been coming on recently while I'm driving and staying on. I've noticed the light come on before, when the back end is slipping out (and traction control is on) but this seems to be coming on and staying on.
Is this common? What is this? Tried to look at the owners manual but didn't really understand so I'm looking for some dummed down responses from some forum members for a newbie. Thanks in advance

Based on what you're saying I could only assume maybe for some reason your light is connected along with your VCS or ABS? Just an assumption man. Did you ever get electrical done on that light or the previous owner?

Ooooohhhhh lmao XD alright most likely your ABS Is out. You can can actually check it your self. Could just be that the sensor got disconnected (hopefully) other wise it could be water damage or just damage to cable somewhere.

Still can't see any picture, but from the other posts it's your ABS light or TCS light?
I'm just going to guess... Have you checked to make sure the the fluids (clutch and brake) are topped off? Sometimes low (even to halfway) can cause a christmas tree of lights on the dash (specifically BRAKE and TCS). Last edited by Haboob; 08-27-2015 at 11:13 AM. |

Probably not the case but another issue that can cause this is an alignment where the "thrust angle" is out of whack. Earlier this year when I replaced a good portion of my suspension front and rear, I had this happen. After I got it aligned the problem went away.
Also is your steering wheel centered when the car is going straight? If it's off by too much that could be the problem.

I have these lights come on a lot for me as well. I know it's not my brake fluid because I just changed everything a week ago. It probably is my alignment though. My steering wheel goes a LITTLE bit to the right so I need to get that checked out. Thanks for the tip Gomer_110!
It gets really annoying because it'll come on when I go over a little bump or when I accelerate really fast. Quote:

I did hit a monster pot hole last winter than bent a rim and blew my tire out. But I never really noticed a difference in the alignment.

If your brake fluid is low check your pads. 9 times out of 10 it's low because your pads need to be replaced. People like to top off the fluid, then later put on thick new pads and then wonder why they get brake fluid slopping down all over the master cylinder/reservoir.
