OEM Denso VQ37VHR Fuel injector Flow Test results
Hey guys, I'm Cory over from Titan forums. Also on FB VQ nation.
Wanted to share some tech info. I recently purchased eight used VQ37VHR OEM Denso (orange) fuel injectors from Z1 MOTORSPORTS to go into my Nissan Titan (VK56). I sent them to Fuel Injector Clinic to be cleaned and flow tested at 43.5psi and at the Titan operating and WOT fuel pressure of 51psi. Fuel injector clinic also replaced O Rings and baskets as well. Here are the results! First Pic shows Before Cleaning at 43.5psi. Also shows AFTER cleaning at 43.5psi. https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ce&oe=567034E1 Second Pic shows AFTER cleaning but at 51psi, which is the Titan's WOT fuel pressure and around 50-52psi at idle. These flow 384cc/min or 37lb https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...62&oe=56846AB2 Part number 0950-021-09 https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...dd&oe=5683A536 https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...6b&oe=567DF274 https://scontent-dfw1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...f7&oe=563A661A These injectors were used off of different 370z cars, they were within nearly 6% variance of each other prior to cleaning. Now after the cleaning at 51psi they are within 1%, which is fantastic. OEM Non FFV titan injectors are 280cc at 43.5psi OEM FFV titan injectors are 320cc at 43.5psi. I went with the 370z injectors because of a good deal, and they flow a little more than factory titan injectors. And are a direct fit. But they do require a new K-multiplier via UPREV, which I got that. Big Thanks to Z1 Motorsports and Fuel Injector Clinic. Enjoy the results. Hope this is beneficial to some of you out there lol. |
All these views and no comments lol. I'm working on other components for the VK56.
I know this is a Z forum, but i'm willing to share any tech info I find that could possibly be beneficial to this community. |
Thanks to Z1 Motorsports for getting me these injectors and the Walbro 255.

Appreciate it guys. When I get more tech info on other projects I'm doing for my build, I will definitely share with you all.

So it's safe to say that stock 370Z injectors are 384cc in size or did u get them to this from cleaning?
|
The oem 370z injectors can flow up to 384cc/min. Just depends on your operating fuel pressure.
Since the Titan and I assume the 350z/370z etc.. run a returnless style fuel system the base fuel pressure is probably around 50psi. Most injectors that you see advertised use the industry standard flow rating of 43.5psi. I wanted to see the flow rate of the 370z injectors at 51psi which is where my Titan's fuel pressure is sustained at idle and WOT. So in summary testing the injector flow rating is pressure related. The cleaning helps to keep the variance between the injectors within a certain (hopefully 1-2%) percentage. |
It would be safe to say that the OEM 370z injectors are 37lb fuel injectors, if the stock fuel pressure is 51psi on the 370z.
I'm not sure what the 370z fuel pressure is though. If these were being sold from a company, they would probably be listed as 34lb injectors at 43.5psi. |
I think the 370z fuel line pressure @~80-100 psi nonreturn.
But i could be wrong. |

Therefore, you essentially have 384cc/min or 37lb fuel injectors stock. :) |
