Default Osiris reflash with Z1 Motorsports dyno tuning

This vehicle came in 10-23-09 with Nismo exhaust and Berk testpipes. We dynoed the same car before yielding a good bit more HP than it made before these pulls. Friday was a small learning curve from tuning a 350Z but you get use to it. I made two seperate folders for this car because I had session 1 and session 2. The reason for this is because I would talk to Jarred for some advice and then try all the new settings for the 370Z. About 8 dyno pulls were made just trying different settings for the rev limiter and top speed (didn't get anywhere).

But on to the numbers which was good for what we started with friday. To net these results we had about 26 pulls but alot were at bottom and mid range. The speed limiter and rev limiter are being worked on by Uprev at the moment(I have the 4th and 5th gear pull on file). You can hit 7600rpm in 4th but 5th you always go into the speed limiter. Here is the results from our customers 370Z with 6spd gear box.

Man, I really want to get a tuning, but I can't deal with not having a warranty anymore. Someone told me that there is a system out there that will save your factory settings and allow you to change them back just for when you go to the dealership to have work done on it; then when that's over, you switch back to the good stuff. Anyone know if this is true? I'd think that the dealer would have some way to catch stuff like that.

very nice.. I know you said it took 26 pulls though which is something i don't want to put my Z through just yet.. lol

I'm sure the uprev guys are going to be spreading all the info and tips on how to accomplish the main goal of a good tune and in no time up rev will be on top of the 370z tuning game.

Great results though! Anything across the board is great, even if was only 10 hp, 21whp and added tourque is outstanding.. Not everyone will get these gains but for the first car, who knows there could be more power to be made?!? Or less, but regardless making power all over the board is great and it seems like there are plenty more good things to come with the uprev osiris software.

Uprev is designed to have multiple maps, tuned, stock, and valet (not sure if there are more).

True but it will need to be a "stock" ecu when taken back to the dealer. Basically a detune flash "back to stock" with the software then when you come home from the dealer another flash with the maps you have saved. If dyno tuned by a performance shop such as Z1 the reflashing could be done for a small fee.

True, which is pretty simple after you get your tune and everything, but of course we have great shops like yours who will help when needed.

So there's no way for the dealer to catch on to it? For example, if some jag-off downloads nude pictures of children to his hard drive then hears the feds are closing in on him, he might erase the files, but the fed's computer experts are going to find evidence of them being there unless that person has serious enough computer skills to completely wipe the drive. I'm wondering if there is a similar way for the dealers to say "Yeah, it has stock values but I can tell it's been messed with." If not, I'm seriously interested.

Do not think of an ECU as a computer, a computer is much more complex, an ECU is very simple in what it does.

Yes, there could be some computer forensics involved to diagnose that the ecu has been flashed but when its done even the Osiris software recognizes it as a completely stock ecu.
Dealers discovering the ecu has been flashed is highly unlikely.

True, but does an ECU really compute or just relay singles around? I thought an ECU is just engine management which controls more than computes, similar concept I guess.
