Another transmission.

Well, first I know I am about to get flamed and everyone is going to say it was my 90 freaking seconds of doing donuts in a dirt pit that ruined my transmission, but my car is at the dealer now for transmission #3. Yesterday I got in it was driving and it did that stupid grinding into 6th gear crap again. Synch-Rev is some cool **** but damn, its a hassle having to replace these things, it seems like when I change my oil I need a new transmission, this one only got 2500 miles before the 6th gear synchros went again.

Syncro-rev has nothing at all to do with the transmission, it is implemented in the engine computer. The only thing in the transmission for syncro-rev is a few sensors in the gate.

Try going easy on the transmission for at least 1500 miles to let it break in before you start beating on it again.

i babied the hell out of that new trans until it had 2000 miles on it.. i rarely drive the thing hard because i don't want to waste the gas.. the reason i blame it on synch rev is because to my knowledge the only 370's with the trans issue are the ones w/ synchrev and no i haven't posted it yet usually by the time i leave work and get home i have about a million other things on my mind.

I have to agree! the Dealer's going to start if not all ready questioning how your driving habits are.

Well you can always disable syncro-rev this time around and see what happens.

Thought about it but that will just irritate me. I paid for it and I want to use it lol

What makes me mad more than anything is my girlfriend has a pg touring and she has no issues whatsoever w/ hers, beats the hell out of it constantly and honestly she can kinda drive but not really. So she proceeds to make fun of me for mine breaking

then it might be a case of bad luck, maybe the next one is the keeper and if not, lemon law needs to be considered!

Solus 10-27-2009 10:11 AM

I am going to have to look into the lemon law bit.. i don't exactly know how it works

Trips 10-27-2009 10:25 AM

If your your car has been to the Dealer for multiple repairs on a problem or problems, it can can qualify for the lemon law. if this happens one more time I would try to get the car replaced period. You bought a new car not a used one.

Solus 10-27-2009 10:26 AM

You get a whole new car just like that?

Trips 10-27-2009 10:30 AM

yes but there has to be a proven or tracked problem or ploblems with the car. the law was created to protect the consumer.

theDreamer 10-27-2009 10:30 AM

Well you do not get a new car just like that, you have to go through the legal method and have all the paperwork in place. If it is ruled in your favor then they must replace your vehicle with an equal product that you bought.
