Default Need help please! Code P0011

Hey what's up guys.

So this past Friday, I was driving on the freeway when all of a sudden, my check engine soon light started flashing and then stopped after a minute. My car made a weird jerking movement and then I could not go over 3K RPM. It's as if I went into limp mode maybe? I got to my destination and let the car sit for a good 8 hours.

When I got back to my car, I turned it on but I felt like something was wrong. There was no leaks under the car and I was due for an oil change. I changed the oil on Saturday and the car feels somewhat normal but I'm super paranoid to even accelerate. I took my car in after to my mechanic and tested it and it came out with the code P0011.

It gives me 6 possible reasons on what's causing the problem. Anyone who has seen that code, what have you done to fix the problem? I've read a few posts about it on the forum but haven't seen any answers..

I posted a picture of what my mechanic gave me.

The crank shaft position sensor (pos) symptoms are hesitation starting the car (doesn’t fire right up) will feel like it wants to die and can put it into limp mode and not have you be able to drive over 3k.

a flashing check engine light means car is misfiring.

Alright thanks. What do you think about the intake valve control solenoid valve?

If you have to ask, maybe you should consider taking it to a dealer or a shop?

It could be either or try and find out what what part is cheaper and change it to see if it fixes the problem if not you know its the other part.

That code is related to low oil pressure. It can be many thing. One thing it could be is a plugged oil filter causing low oil pressure. What kind of oil filter and how long/mileage did you go on your last oil change? It can also be caused by low oil level. Thread on here discussed it and gave some good links.

I took it to a shop. It came up with all of those possibilites so I was seeing if anyone else had the same problem and what did they do to resolve it.

I'm probably going to do that since no one has really given me a clear answer. Thanks for your help.

I use the K&N oil filters. Last time I changed it was 2,985 miles so I did change it a few days ago. The car seems to be running okay but I want to make sure, you know?

Code P0011

Heres a link to a similar issue, maybe the same thing?

It appears his issue originated from having an early 09 Z with the oil pickup tube is too short and caused engine damage, I notice you have an 09. He said it was fixed mid model year of 2009, do you know your build date?
