This off of your Z? And what shaft is that? Looks like you found a weak link.
This is what we call a "fuse in the drive train" with my off-road friends. A piece designed to break before more $$$$ parts break.

I remember watching videos of Nitrouz's 420Z-TT. IIRC, the windshield would make some noise from the body frame wanting to twist.

This is an axle from my race car - 1972 British Sports Car with 540hp Rover V8 - photos also in my Gallery This axle had done ~450 standing starts before it said "enough", so axles are now lifed @ 400 "race" starts before replacement. Last edited by BGTV8; 07-16-2015 at 04:54 PM. |
