This is what I put in - Red Line Synthetic Oil - Gear Oil for Manual Transmissions - MT-85 75W85 GL-4 Gear Oil

I'm really not sure what the issue was or what caused it to perform so poorly in the cold after so few miles. I suppose I could of put in the same fill again and it'd be fine in the winter for a certain amount of time/miles. I just chose to go back to OE. It's not great, but it works year round :)

They make a lot of claims, but none of them address longevity of the fluid. I suppose when used for track or HPDE purposes one changes fluid often so it's a non issue.

75W90 trans fluid is not recommended for cold environments. It will shift poorly until the fluid warms up. 75W85 is what you want to run. I'm not looking forward to winter, but do expect the nissan oe stuff to work ok in the cold.

I wouldn't think 75w90 gear oil is proper fluid for a clutch system. I use Redline 75w90 in my differential. I use Motul RBF600 brake fluid in my clutch system.

I think only a real fool would put gear oil in a hydraulic clutch reservoir. JMO

We have some of those on here :icon14: If you are that stupid, then you deserve what you get. But the Z does not deserve that kind of treatment, so I will speak up on her behalf lol

Glad to see that's not what you were doing :icon17:

No kidding :rofl2:

I think he's bumping semi-useful threads that get buried amongst the "What oil should I use?", "My steering lock failed; what do I do?", "My CSC failed; what do I do?", and "My stanced $hit looks terrible and rubs; tell me you think it looks great" threads.
