Help Error Code P0011

I have a 2008 G Coupe and just recently hit 61,000 miles and did a oil change and installed the Z1 25 oil cooler. A week later today I throw

Default Help Error Code P0011

I have a 2008 G Coupe and just recently hit 61,000 miles and did a oil change and installed the Z1 25 oil cooler. A week later today I throw P0011 code and the car goes into limp mode. Does anyone know where the intake VTC Solenoids are so I can start there?

That is a very scary issue. Is it common for the early 09 model or is it due to low oil level?

It seems like it's due to the 2 paper gaskets that Nissan uses inside the engine. They have better gaskets now but it is gonna cost some money to fix. 2000 to 3500 depending on the shop for 2 cheap *** gaskets

I've read about timing cover gasket issues, but you should see oil leaks around the area. When did Nissan come out with an improved version of the gaskets?

The post (link) above appeared to indicate an oil issue due to faulty design that was corrected in the later 2009 models.

Must have been a hit or miss kind of thing with the 09's as mine doesnt have this issue and has a manufacturing date of 10/08

Its internal and it's by or behind the chain... 2 little paper gaskets that causes all these problems. Not to mention I have oil around my plugs and I called the dealership and they said there is a new revised gasket for the valve covers too... Wtf??

I was under the impression that the 370z motor has the same design as the 350z which has been around for many years? I am sure there were some internal improvements to get that 10% extra hp.

I read that some lost the motor due to the lack of oil/oil pressure.

So do we have a metal gasket instead of the paper ones now? Any idea when the revision come out?

No idea because every dealer I call gives me a different answer. 2000 down the toilet just for the 2 front gaskets and another 400 for the valve covers. **** might as just do a cheap freaking build

What's weird is that on the g35 forum the guys over there are having the same issue. Than Nissan puts the same gaskets in the g37 coupe and sedan. Plus it looks like maybe 09 Z as well.,

Just call Import Parts Pro and have them send you a completed built shot block. Think it's less than $5k with with core exchange. Then you'll have a built block for that TT kit

that's what I thought. The 370z motor is basically the same as the g35, 350z and other variants in the Nissan cars which have been around for a long time.

I have a feeling that this problem isn't very common.

Dont replace the inner cover, as the dealer would.
Remove the outer timing cover only, and replace the T and L gaskets with

13533-JK21A
13533-JK21B
These are the new reinforced versions used on the new inner timing covers.

Half the work the dealer would do.
