yep; you may want to insist on a new torque converter-that's pretty standard procedure with this being done...keep us posted/ also looking into getting a factory looking trans. temp gauge added to mine...my fluid is very clean now & shifting great.

does your car have an aftermarket trans. cooler? i know that sometimes if small metallic parts go through cooler-you cant flush them all out (at least you really have to work at it) haven't even looked at stock cooler-it may be in radiator.....could get a radiator out of it too....warranty pay's those guy's good!
i'm gonna add one to mine soon/i know Stillen offers one.

Thank God you still under warranty! keep updating & see if they can explain why that one failed.

Its crazy... I knew something was wrong, and it wasnt the typical scenario. But a new transmission and valve is welcomed

Hmmm...does that mean mine is going out as well? Sounds like I'm having an identical issue when cruising at 60 and pushing hard on the gas pedal it would stall for a split second at the rev limit. Have about 22000 miles on the car.

Can you describe it a little better?

Try cruising at 30mph... Mashing the pedal...and if it hangs for more than 2-3 seconds might want to get it checked

never seen my rev/shift light illuminate when applying full throttle...it may have logged a fault code; my shift light doesn't come on till around 7400rpm's & shifts @ 7500 by itself-in (D)...the shift light is adjustable and has nothing to do with the shift point of the car;;;it's just a reminder.
But what you are explaining is something different.....flashing a couple seconds before it goes.
Does the rpm's ramp up while it's not going?

what do you have your shift light rpm set at?
have you recently had the tps or ecm dis-connected?

I got the car used with 20000 miles on it so I don't know what the last owner did to the car. But the shift light comes on for a sec or two on wide open throttle. The shift light is set at 7400 rpm.

Edit: Just got back from doing a gym run and punched it while cruising at 30 and it seemed to shift correctly. I believe it only did that for me while cruising at a higher speed going 60. Maybe it had to do with how hot the weather was too cause it was only 65 out.

if your shift light is set at 7400,,,it will start blinking around 6900-7000
try cruising at 65 & stomp the gas;should drop back to 3rd & upshift around 85'ish
there is normally a slight delay before it takes off-but shouldn't rev up until it downshifts.
