Thank God you still under warranty! keep updating & see if they can explain why that one failed.

Its crazy... I knew something was wrong, and it wasnt the typical scenario. But a new transmission and valve is welcomed

Hmmm...does that mean mine is going out as well? Sounds like I'm having an identical issue when cruising at 60 and pushing hard on the gas pedal it would stall for a split second at the rev limit. Have about 22000 miles on the car.

Can you describe it a little better?

Try cruising at 30mph... Mashing the pedal...and if it hangs for more than 2-3 seconds might want to get it checked

Well, reading your OP sounds to me like its happening to mine. I would pass a car and mash on the pedal and the rev light would light up for a second or two before it would go. It sounds like its bouncing on the rev limit.

I'll be going out later today so I'll try and replicate it.

never seen my rev/shift light illuminate when applying full throttle...it may have logged a fault code; my shift light doesn't come on till around 7400rpm's & shifts @ 7500 by itself-in (D)...the shift light is adjustable and has nothing to do with the shift point of the car;;;it's just a reminder.
But what you are explaining is something different.....flashing a couple seconds before it goes.
Does the rpm's ramp up while it's not going?

what do you have your shift light rpm set at?
have you recently had the tps or ecm dis-connected?

That sounds allot like my issue... Almost like it double revs and finally grabs gear??

I wish there was a way to retro fit 350z hr 5at in the 370. The gearing inside the 370at is not a good. And 4th-7th are worthless

you must not push your Z to it's limits.
4th is good for 125
5th is good for 175 (pending speed limiter removed)
7th is for fuel milage
oh;i left out 6th,,,,,that's for the few-who have the balls to go 200mph
ty,

My 3rd tops out at 80.... After that its 4th... And man let me tell you... The rate of accelaration in 4th is so weak

Yes, it feels like it double revs or bouncing at the top and then shifts. I didn't get a chance to play with the car yesterday because it was raining pretty much the whole day...I'll be going out early today so I'll try and do what you suggested.

I got the car used with 20000 miles on it so I don't know what the last owner did to the car. But the shift light comes on for a sec or two on wide open throttle. The shift light is set at 7400 rpm.

Edit: Just got back from doing a gym run and punched it while cruising at 30 and it seemed to shift correctly. I believe it only did that for me while cruising at a higher speed going 60. Maybe it had to do with how hot the weather was too cause it was only 65 out.

if your shift light is set at 7400,,,it will start blinking around 6900-7000
try cruising at 65 & stomp the gas;should drop back to 3rd & upshift around 85'ish
there is normally a slight delay before it takes off-but shouldn't rev up until it downshifts.
