A couple more photo's as we finesse the engine bay ......... original ITB trumpet angle leaves trumpets too close to the underside of the bonnet so we've angled the trumpets a bit to give more room for airbox. Need a 4-litre airbox for each side of the engine. Digital printing is a wonderful thing !!

Will be fed by 6" flexible hose from the front of the car with a large area motorsport air filter in the space occupied by the OEM airboxes

Also image of the wheels we will use (Braid 18 x 10 @ ET30 with 20mm spacer at the rear). Fitted with Michelin 27/65R18 or Pirelli 285/645R18 slicks.

Have the M150 wired in now and just setting up the ECU basic engine setup and also the myriad of other setting needed - read on.

Wheel speed, steering angle, brake pressure sensors wired in. Have connected the "brake lockup" light into the ECU (ECU monitors wheel speed and if a wheel locks, it turns a red light on) - for an old dummy like me, I sometimes need help !!

Strain gauge on gear lever also wired into the ECU to trigger ignition cut when I pull a gear for flat-shift. Only use the clutch to get going and for downshift, not for upshift.

ECU temp inputs for gearbox and diff oil cooler pumps wired in, wiring for cooling pumps also set so ECU can turn on the pumps if temps > 100 DegC and off when <100 DegC.

ECU set up is taking some time as you can imagine but getting real close .............

VVEL lump on the head in the way by 4mm - the ITB kit fits on an OEM engine with actuators in place but the actuators have been tossed and a plate with locking bolt/nut needed a tweak to get it all to fit ........... so that TB was on the bench at the time.

Is race car - everything is bespoke (and made of unobtanium at an appropriate cost).

COVID has been in the way. In Victoria (my state in Aus), we have had 5 months of solid lock-down .... it has stuffed everything including all my build plans
