Otherwise I would need to buy the whole new kit for $600.00 and trash the nice hoses and other parts from the Stillen set-up. Just wondering if I'm the only one with this issue. I would gladly pay the difference for the better core after what I've been though. I just don't want to be the guy that shuts down the track for 20 minutes while they lay down oil dry and brush it off next year. I'll call Stillen tomorrow and see what they say.
This is really strange. I realize the pan and spacer most likely have nothing to do with it, but I was just trying to get a better understanding of what work you have done to the car and any potential issues that could have resulted from that work.

I have a mishimoto cooler and have had zero issues with it for the year I've had it. If I were you, I would most likely replace the entire thing. I realize that's going to cost you quite a bit, but the consequences to losing pressure and oil could cost you a lot more. If you decided to replace it again with the same model, you should consider also installing an oil pressure gauge. At least then you will know immediately when there is an issue.

If installing a oil pressure gauge. Make sure it reads to 150 psi. Cold idle is over 100 psi.

Just installed the Fast Intentions 34 Row Oil Cooler. N/A Engine. Works great...absolutely recommend. For the longest time I would chime in and you might not need an oil cooler because I would track mine but never hit limp mode. I have done some work to the Z since then and have increased my lap times much more. Now that my times are better then engine works harder....limp mode activated!....Oil Cooler eliminated that.

Recommendation on gauge brands?

Hard to install?

Estimated labor costs?

Assuming N/A Engine with 34 row oil cooler....

Everyday Oil Pressure around town?

TrackDay pressure?

Canyon run Pressure?

This is the gauge I used. It has a LOW and HIGH Warning lights. In the Gauge Notes. Write in the you want the Gauge to say OIL PRESS. And order a 8ft wiring harness.
https://www.speedhut.com/gauge/GR-PR...si-(w--warning)

You also need to get an adapter to mount the sensor at the filter.

Hard to install? Not really. Read my thread.

Labor cost? Zero. did it myself

Have a lot of info in my build thread. Starting on page 43.

Default New Setrab Oil Cooler installed

Just wanted to update this post. After about 4 weeks I was finally able to install a new Setrab 25 row oil cooler. After calling Stillen and talking to "Dave" they were willing to send me the better Setrab brand but I did have to pay the difference in cost for the core and adapters so the existing hoses would connect properly. I was fine with that, the issue was the time it took to get the replacement parts. It seams SEMA was a priority at the time. Everything fit in place but not much oil left in the engine after draining it. Once back together I tried to crank the engine but it would not turn over. My heart just about stopped and I thought the worst. But it did sit for 4 weeks and with the Chicago weather I decided to put a charger on the battery and have some lunch. A few hours later the gods were looking out for me and my Z fired right up! I did have to drive it on the salted roads to storage a few miles away but no leaks at this point other then the oil dripping off the bottom as I could not reach everyplace and it did sit on the jack stands for 4 weeks. Can't wait to get back on the track this spring and see how the larger core does after 20 minutes of hot laps. Happy New Year to all!!!

Angry

Kind of sucks when a business drops customers for SEMA. That leaves a sour taste in many a mouth.

F.I. 34 row setrab here too. No issues, fully satisfied. Fit was flawless! Only time oil heats up is in stop and go traffic.
